Dr. Restivo has been in the health and fitness industry for over 29 years. He started as a Assistant Martial Arts Instructor for the Police Athletic League at 16 years old. From there Dr Restivo started power lifting in combination with martial arts training . At 16 years of age he was bench pressing 400 pounds, deadlifting over 400 pounds for multiple reps and squatting over 400 plus pounds for multiple reps. One day after a heavy training day Mark felt his back tighten up so much it took his breath away. In those days we did'nt know much about stretching or cooling down, Dr mark states. His mother introduced him to chiropractic in which he will admit he did'nt like it at all as far as a professional choice. Though he had always been interested in health and fitness, overtime he did like the fact that chiropractic seemed like some martial arts moves! After exploring health options Dr. Mark finished Chiropractic College in 1998 and has been impacting peoples lives for what he calls "Total Body Wellness." Dr. Restivo pulls from his continued education and years of experience in the health care industry. He has a strong passion to educate the patient about their internal health and proper bio-mechanics for ultimate performance in sports or daily living. He claims we can workout all day long, go on special diets, etc and still be adding insult to the body. Millions of unhealthy people exercise and play sports. Our focus becomes so external we often neglecte the importance of the balance of the human frame and central nervous system which controls everything. Exercise is good and highly suggested, but if the frame is out of alignment you will be doing nothing but degenerating the body quicker and increasing the potential for greater injury."
